SUMMARY:Integrative Movement Sciences-Summer Research Institute
DESCRIPTION:The IMS-Summer Research Institute is an interdisciplinary research and training incubator that aims to transform the field by integrating understanding of muscle function and movement from molecules to behavior. The SRI will be a 4-week training event from July 15th-August 15th\, 2021 that will bring together teams of faculty\, postdocs\, graduate students\, and undergraduates to develop interdisciplinary partnerships in movement sciences and work on specific projects that integrate across organizational scales to bridge critical gaps in current knowledge. \nWorkshops will be held on Tuesday and Thursdays at 10 am PST throughout the 4-week Institute and will be made available to the public. Workshops and seminars focus on identifying important limitations and gaps in current knowledge and highlighting the potential for novel and emerging approaches that integrate across organizational scales to provide new insights.  \nThe IMS-Summer Research Institute will occur virtually\, at UC Irvine\, and at participant’s labs across the country.
