The Integrative Movement Sciences Institute and the Nishikawa Laboratory at Northern Arizona University are seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to advance research on multi scale muscle models from molecules to movement. The scholar will be mentored by Dr. Kiisa Nishikawa and based at NAU. They will contribute to a collaborative program that integrates experimental work with computational modeling and will have opportunities to work with partner laboratories across IMSI”s national network.

This position offers robust mentorship, access to specialized research facilities, and the chance to engage in cross-institutional projects focused on understanding how muscles generate and control movement.

The full-time, twelve-month appointment begins as early as January 2026 and may be extended based on performance and funding.
