Now accepting applications for the 2026 Dr. M. Marlene Godoy Fellowship in Movement Sciences
The Center for Integrative Movement Sciences (CIMS) is pleased to announce a research fellowship to support UCI undergraduate students engaging in intensive Summer research. The Dr. M. Marlene Godoy Fellowship in Movement Sciences supports research training in movement physiology, biomechanics, exercise sciences or a related field. Award recipients will receive a $4000 stipend and additional funding for conference travel, pending supervisor approval and abstract acceptance.
The fellowship is open to current UCI undergraduates in good academic standing, with priority given to students with financial need and those with limited prior research experience opportunity. Students who have completed relevant coursework in topics such as physiology, exercise science, or locomotion are especially encouraged to apply.
Interested students must identify a faculty mentor who is a CIMS affiliate and work with them to develop a research project that allows for substantial intellectual involvement. Fellowship awardees are expected to work approximately 20 hours per week for 10 weeks during the Summer, with timing coordinated by the faculty mentor and the CIMS Director.
Apply by midnight on Sunday, May 17th, 2026!
