We discover fundamental principles of movement that drive innovations in technology, medicine, and rehabilitation
Welcome to CIMS
Exercise, mobility and healthy daily activity levels are central to human health, wellbeing and effective medical care. The mission of the Center for Integrative Movement Sciences (CIMS) at UC Irvine is to promote a greater understanding of the essential role of movement in human health and to drive innovations in technology, medicine, and rehabilitation based upon fundamental principles in movement ecology, physiology, biomechanics, and sensorimotor control.
